When we compare two items we usually add -er to the adjective such as Amal is taller than Ahlam. In the case of superlatives, we add -est to the adjective, for example: Amal is the tallest student. Irregular comparison refers to adjectives that do not follow this rule. Thus, you should remember their comparative and superlative forms.
